Psychotherapy · Digital Well-Being Counselling · Coaching

Strengthening your well-being and mental-health in a rapidly changing world.

A safe, unhurried space to holistically explore what’s hard and a structured, evidence-based path to feeling and functioning better.

What makes this different

Rigour and warmth, in equal measure.

Therapy offers you a safe, confidential, and supportive space to explore your thoughts, emotions, behaviours, relationships, and life experiences without judgement. Together, we can identify patterns that may be holding you back, develop a deeper understanding of yourself, and build practical tools to improve your emotional regulation, resilience, relationships, and everyday functioning.

My approach integrates different therapeutic perspectives to meet you as an individual, recognising that there is no single approach that works for everyone. The goal is not only to explore where difficulties come from, but also to help you develop the skills, confidence, and psychological flexibility needed to navigate life’s challenges and move towards greater well-being.

A holistic and evidence-based approach to therapy

A holistic approach to well-being and personal development, combining evidence-based psychology with a warm, collaborative, and psychologically safe space where meaningful change can happen.

The Biopsychosociospiritual Model

As a psychotherapist I look at the whole picture: your thoughts and feelings, relationships and social context, your physical patterns like diet and sleep, and the meaning, values and beliefs you live by. Real change rarely lives in only one of these domains.

Evidence-based Strategies

Every approach is grounded in psychological science and guided by a clear, focused assessment, turning a vague sense of “stuck” into specific, workable goals.

Precision Psychotherapy

Drawing on principles from behavioural psychology, we explore the underlying patterns, processes, and factors contributing to your difficulties, helping you create meaningful, lasting change that addresses the root causes, not just the symptoms.

Support that continues after the call ends.

Real change happens in the days between sessions. I provide my individual and corporate clients with additional mental-health resources and secure, digitally-enhanced tools like journalling, mood tracking and gentle grounding techniques to help notice patterns and keep the work going after our sessions, at one’s own pace.

I finally understood the pattern I’d been stuck in for years and, for the first time, actually had the tools to change it. Warm, but genuinely rigorous.

Dr. Ali Fenwick

About

Dr Ali Fenwick, Ph.D.

I am a psychotherapist, behavioural psychologist, and Professor of Organisational Behaviour with more than 20 years of experience helping individuals and organisations understand human behaviour and create meaningful change. My work spans psychotherapy, academia, organisational consulting, and leadership development, giving me a unique perspective on how people grow, adapt, and thrive.

I specialise in the science of human behaviour and well-being, helping clients understand not only what they are experiencing, but why they are experiencing it, and how lasting change is created. Rather than simply managing symptoms, we explore the underlying patterns, beliefs, emotions, behaviours, and life experiences that contribute to your difficulties, so that change reaches the root, not just the surface.

Common questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I receive therapy online?

Yes, psychotherapy is offered online. My therapy services are only available to clients living in Ireland. If you live outside of Ireland and would like to work with me one-to-one, you can book an appointment for my coaching services.

What is Digital Well-Being Counselling?

Digital Well-Being Counselling is a uniquely designed track developed by Dr. Ali Fenwick to help people develop a healthier relationship with their devices, for people whose relationship with technology is affecting their functioning, mood, relationships, or sense of self. It applies established behavioural approaches used in behavioural addiction, attachment, grief and self-esteem work to a domain most counselling was never designed to address.

The work is practical and non-judgemental. We identify the patterns and their triggers, understand the needs they are meeting, and rebuild boundaries and connection that hold up in real life. Digital Well-Being Counselling is not therapy but a uniquely designed intervention combining insights and techniques from behavioural psychology, coaching, and algorithmic behaviour.

How do online sessions work?

Sessions run over secure, private video. You just need a quiet space and a stable connection.

What’s the difference between therapy and coaching?

Therapy is designed for people experiencing significant emotional distress or psychological difficulties that are affecting their daily life, relationships, or well-being. Coaching is designed for people who are psychologically well but want support to achieve goals, navigate change, improve performance, or develop new skills. Many concerns such as stress, burnout, confidence, or relationship challenges can be addressed through either approach. During an initial consultation, we’ll determine together which service is the most appropriate for your needs.

Is everything confidential?

Yes. What you share stays private, within the standard professional and legal limits I’ll explain clearly at the start. A safe space means you can be honest without worrying where it goes.

How many sessions do I need?

It depends on what you’re working on. Some people come for a focused piece of work over a few sessions, while others value longer-term support. There’s no fixed time frame, we review together as we go.

What does it cost?
  • Personal Therapy (Ireland only)€95 / 50 min
  • Digital Well-Being Counselling€150 / hour
  • Coaching€250–350 / hour
  • Corporate Well-Being ServicesOn request

Book an initial consultation to get started. If you decide to continue working with Dr. Fenwick, the cost of your initial consultation will be credited towards your first follow-up session.

Can I get tax relief on my psychotherapy fees?

Clients in Ireland may be eligible to claim tax relief on psychotherapy fees through Revenue. Eligibility depends on Revenue requirements and the client’s individual circumstances. Please check with Revenue to confirm availability.

What if I’m not sure therapy is right for me?

That’s very common, and there’s no commitment in finding out. The 20-minute initial consultation exists precisely for this, to talk things over and see whether it feels worth taking a next step.

I need urgent help — what should I do?

If you’re in crisis or at immediate risk, please contact your GP, call Emergency Services in Ireland 999 or 112, or the Samaritans on 116 123 at any time. If outside of Ireland, contact your local emergency services. Therapy is not an emergency service, and these support contact numbers can help right away.
